Y'all I am pumped for Friday. I'm currently watching Murder She Wrote and I don't need your judgement.
Anyway here are my five favorite things from this week.
1. By far the best part of the week was getting a new computer! For the past year I've been working solely from my work computer, which is pretty big and not so much fun to lug around. I made the leap and I could not be happier. My new computer is tiny, and cute, and super light and I'm in love.
2. It's the first day of fall (raised hands emoji does square space support emoji? 🙌 Oh yeah there you go). I pride myself in loving all seasons, but after a scorching summer, I welcome the chillier mornings and nights. Also now is when I start watching Addams Family on repeat, which in my opinion has the best props and also Morticia is a personal hero of mine.
3. I finally got out and saw the remake of IT. It was alright? It could have benefitted from 90 percent less CGI. The ending was way less weird than the original but the rest of it was bordering on comical. Also how did the weird chimney sweep dance scene make it past like...anyone...?
Why.
4. I've been listening to Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology on audible. The best part about any Neil Gaiman audiobook is the fact that he narrates most of his own books and he has THE most amazing voice. It's like Mrs. Buttersworth in a human voice and that is the highest compliment I could give any person or thing. I highly recommend you listen to a sample, it makes riding BART delightful which is not easy to do.
5. I'm excited to share one of my favorite summer-into-fall desserts with y'all soon! It involves peaches and marscapone. What could go wrong? Nothing.
